HEAD CHEF
JOB BRIEF – HEAD CHEF
We are looking for an experienced and qualified HEAD CHEF with exceptional proven ability of kitchen management to join our expanding Hotel.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Direct food preparation process
Constructing seasonal menus ensuring the variety and quality
Approve dishes before they reach the customer
Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to any identified shortages
Arrange for kitchen repairs when necessary
Remedy any problems or defects with your Team
Be fully in charge of hiring, managing ,and training kitchen staff along with General Manager
Oversee the work of your Team
Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
Maintain records of payroll and attendance
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between your Team
Food safety policy
Health and safety in the kitchen
Control of GP%
Oversee allergen policies and all food and beverage training
Must be level 3 trained
REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as Head Chef

Ability in delegating responsibilities and monitoring progress

Have outstanding communication and leadership skills

Be Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

Good understanding of useful computer programs

Credentials in health and safety training

Degree in Culinary science or related certificate

Great cooking skills and attention to detail

Leadership and management skills

The ability to manage a budget and keep accurate records

Good organisation and communication skills
